One of the perks of the pizza business is our close proximity to the beer business. The love story of pizza and beer is not a new one, but it keeps getting better with cool people like the brew team behind Half Acre Beer Company. They've been upping the local beer scene in Chicago since 2006 and were the first in Chicago to can their beer. They also stick to their roots, almost exclusively distributing to Chicago and the surrounding 'burbs. The reasoning here? Fresh local brews are just better. We couldn't agree more.
By our book, you're not a true Chicagoan until you've had a Daisy Cutter. (One of the Dimo's crew even named her dog "Daisy" after the beer.) Oh, and if you haven't stopped by their taproom and tried their Space IPA, you're seriously missing out. Plus, ask about the origin story behind the beer.
