Desi “Doom” Rottman is perhaps the biggest Dimo’s fan in the history of our company. She raves about us, she writes about us, and she even creeps on us at Pizza Summit. Sometimes, she goes around with pizza pom poms made out of the mozzarella we use for our cheese pizza, urging people to try our ‘Za. Alright, maybe she’s not quite on that level, but she is one of our greatest cheerleaders.
Desi came to Dimo’s for the first time when she still lived in Nashville. She was just roadtrippin up here when she happened to have a friend that ordered Dimo’s for delivery. Of course it was love at first taste.
Now that she lives in the 312, Desi is a regular at our Wicker Park location, always stopping in for a slice of cheese or a chicken n’ waffles.
Desi primarily makes her (non-pizza) dough by working for a company called Bandzoogle, where she troubleshoots, hosts webinars, and provides tech support. But one of her greatest passions is writing about pizza on her blog, desidoespizza.com! And when it comes to her blog, Desi is legit. She’s an award-winning, badass, professional pizza blogger, telling the people of Chicago what pizza is hot and what pizza is not. She even wrote this rad review of us here, as if she needed to do anything else to make us love her.
Sometimes she writes complimentary reviews about other pizza joints, and we’re not sure how we feel about that. But we’re confident that whatever pizza places she cheats on us with, we’ll always be her pizza bae. And no matter how many crustomers of the month we have, she’ll always be ours too.
