Rewind all the way back to 2009. A time when Bristol Palin and Adam Lambert were making headlines. The balloon boy incident happened, right around the same time Kanye was interrupting T-Swift on stage. And every speaker had Michael Jackson songs on repeat. Among these momentous occasions, sometime in the fall of '09, John and Travis found their future favorite pizza place. Listen up, and we'll tell you the enchanting tale.

As a self-proclaimed snobby New Yorker, it was a long and exhausting battle for John to find a pizza place to satisfy his east coast palate. Stumbling upon Dimo's was a much welcomed end to his search. For Travis is was a matter of crust. The selection left him in shock and awe in the beginning, but it was the crust that kept him coming back for more. And living just down the street, these two quickly formed a bond with the employees of Dimo's. We are a pretty friendly crew, after all.

John relates this very accurately to a quote from Ted Daniels, "Everyone wants to be somewhere they know your name and make the best pizza in the city." Ain't that the truth. And these two are about as close to Cheers-inspired characters as it gets. They obliterated our top-secret customer challenge known as "The Menu Master" in a matter of mere weeks. And then there was the time they cashed in eight free slice cards at once for a whole free pie.

The Dimo's Crew first began to take note of these two thanks to some unmistakable identifiers. Travis for his tweeting and John for his hat wearing. A purple hat to be exact. Which is now basically inseparable from his identity at Dimo's. It leads us to ask, if he walked in without his hat, would we even recognize him? @AtTravisMiller is always there for us with a tweet, spreading the 'za word throughout the twitterverse.

Now just what slices are these two reoccurring characters in our sitcom eating? For both Travis and John, it's always been about the Buffalo Chicken & Bleu Cheese and the Chicken n' Waffles. Thankfully our staff knows to prepare for their arrival with at least a whole pie of each. Just in case. But being the true 'za geniuses that they are, they've also branched out to Lab Lunch Fridays to try new pizzas every week.

While on average, spending 5-6 days a week at Dimo's, these two still manage to keep pretty busy in their non-pizza-consuming time. In fact, Travis is actually on hiatus from Dimo's (begrudgingly) in order to spend the entire baseball season at the MLB Fan Cave in New York City, "watching all 2,430 games while creating advanced media content with players and musicians." We figured that was a pretty good excuse for missing his Dimo's fix. Plus, we have John here to eat the extra slices for him. That is, when he's not too busy working to over-throw capitalism or fiercely debating whether he prefers comic books or pizza more.

All in all, these two are true champions of 'za. Near or far, we'll always have a spot saved and a pizza ready for eating, made especially for them.
