You could run and hide. Or you could put on your jingling sweater and join in. No matter how you plan to survive this Saturday’s annual holiday festivity known as The Twelve Bars of Xmas, you’re probably going to need a strong drink and some hearty food. With more than 16,000 bar crawlers taking over Clark St., running and hiding may both be out of the question. Besides, where is the fun in that? 

Considering our close proximity to this marathon of red, green, and beer, we excited to opt for the “joining in” choice. But of course, given that we’re not ones to follow the rules, we’re making up our own. Here’s what you can expect to see at Dimo’s this year amid your TBOX celebrations.

1. We’ll be opening promptly at 11am. For those of you starting your day at 8am: we wish you luck! That is an hour we consider both too early to stomach a drink (unless you’re talking spiked coffee), and in the case of our night owl employees, too early to eat pizza. (Unless it’s leftover in your fridge and you’re recovering from a hangover.)

2. We WILL be open late! Going “wire to wire, baby?” We’ll be here for your ending ceremony needs. And you’re definitely going to need some pizza by that point. 

3. It’s never too early or late for some cereal. And we think your cereal will taste even better poured on a slice of S’mores Pizza. We tested this theory, and it’s ridiculously delicious. So why not take that cereal shot to the next level this year and #CerealYourSmores?

4. We are BYOB and BYO-Cereal. If you need a break from the bars, you’re encouraged to bring the party to our place. We can’t guarantee you’ll be able to find a place to sit. But we can guarantee hard working employees, serving up slices as quick as they can. We’ll even have a doorman working all day to assist you.

5. We’ll be partying with you too. Some of our employees, customers and friends will be out and about joining in the festivities. And, we may even have some special holiday gifts to give out.

6. Non-participating customers: you’re always welcome here. But please be warned, it’s going to be a madhouse in our neighborhood. As a result, we will not be able to offer delivery this Saturday. For those who are running and hiding, we can offer you pick up orders for whole pies.

The main point here? We’re ready for TBOX 2012. So stop in, show off your festive sweaters and turtlenecks, and make this a day to hazily remember fondly.
