Whoa! We've really been neglecting our blog over the last year. Sorry, folks. We’ve been a little busy these past 12 months. Here’s a recap of a few of our most exciting moments from across the pizzaverse:

Meet our new faces.
We recently added two new positions to our team: a Data Analyst and a Brand Visionnaire. As a small business, it’s not uncommon to wear many hats within the company. But it’s a true testament of our growth over the last year to add these two new positions dedicated to specific needs of the company. Enter Taylor, our Data Analyst, and Alec, our Brand Visionnaire.

Taylor stays busy perfecting our forecasts, working closely with our management teams to lower labor and cost of goods percentages, and keeping tabs on budgets for various projects. It’s easy to get wrapped up in the day-to-day responsibilities in the restaurant world, but Taylor keeps our eyes on the big picture, creating long-term financial goals within each of our departments. And he makes a mean Excel spreadsheet.

Alec has taken our signage and design to the next level. From in-store signs, menus, merchandise and other swag, Alec keeps our brand lookin’ good from all angles. Recently, he’s been channeling his pizza alter ego as the voice for Dimo’s social media platforms, including Instagram, Wicker Park’s Twitter and Facebook.

Though we’ve admittedly been neglecting the blog corner of our website, other areas of the site have been getting some serious TLC. It’s now easier than ever to order pizza from our website on any device. And in the next month, we’re adding an “instant pizza” option to make online ordering more seamless and quick than ever. Want pizza for a packed house party? Need slices for a Netflix binger? Trying to impress a date with your foodie pizza knowledge? We’ll have your ‘za fix for all of these scenarios and more. Or build your own pizza adventure and save your custom orders for future reorder on the fly. Because pizza ordering is an art form, especially when there are 40+ pizza flavors to choose from.

Meet our new book.
We were completely humbled and honored to publish our very own cookbook this year. The book covers everything from the basics of ‘za making (including our homemade dough recipe), to our most popular recipes like Chicken n’ Waffles and Guacamole Burrito. We couldn’t have made it happen without our wonderful pizza testers, family and friends, and especially blogger-extraordinaire and cookbook-writer, Natalie Slater, as well as food-photo genius, Ted Axelrod. As a last note, we recently celebrated our first birthday in Wicker Park and sixth birthday in Wrigleyville. We want to take a moment to say thank you to all our dedicated crustomers who have supported us over the years.  Without you, none of the achievements we listed above would have been possible. Your constant love and support, and even the brutally honest feedback, have fueled our continued growth. We're proud to call Chicago our home and share it with you cool cats.
