The needs of our community have shifted drastically. To meet those needs, we’ve changed the way we offer our products—and we’ve changed the products that we offer. We're asking you to help out and donate to our efforts.

Face Shields - It might seem crazy for a pizza shop to go from pepperoni to PPE, but hear us out. The powerful ovens we use to get that crispy crust, which are incidentally sitting idle while our slice operation is shut down, are also just right for melting and molding the acrylic for face shields. In a time where shortages of personal protective equipment threaten the safety of our healthcare and other civil servants, working on the front lines, we’ve seen so many small businesses step up in innovative ways to fill the need. Pizza - This part you know and love already! But with your support since the 16th, we've been able to make 10 pizza runs to six different hospitals, medical facilities and homeless shelters all over the city feeding over 500 meals! As you well know, pizza makes people happy and that is exactly what everyone needs right now. The more you give, the more we can show up and best serve those in need.

Our staff has been working tirelessly, innovating constantly, with a steel resolve in the face of one of the most catastrophic events we've faced in many decades. We take strength from Dr. Craig Smith, "Remember our familes, friends and neighbors are scared, idle, out of work and feel impotent. Anyone working ... still enjoys the rapture of action. It is a privilege! We mush on." And so onwards we march.

Knowledge > Fear

It’s a scary time, and we feel it too. We also know that, with more knowledge, we feel more powerful in our battle against fear. Our team is working hard to keep our doors open. And we want them to feel informed and empowered about their role. That’s why we’ve initiated new COVID-19 training protocols and operating procedures to keep everyone safe. We’re lucky to have so many multi-talented individuals in our Dimo’s family, our bookkeeper just so happens to have a background in microbiology. He’s taken the lead in creating training modules to teach our staff more about this disease, possible risks, and best practices for keeping our spaces sanitary and safe. 

If you’ve walked by our either of our locations, you may have also noticed some changes to our facade. By tracking the number of COVID-19 infections and recoveries in Chicago, the United States, and across the globe, we hope to help play a role in spreading knowledge over fear. Using data from the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center, we will continue to update our window weekly with the latest information.
